“Imagination Station”
Brand new at ArtsView, for ages 4 & 5!!! A creative dramatics series…drama, movement, and songs for a whole new set of ArtsView stars!
Imagination Station is a four week course comprised of 8 one-hour sessions in which 4 and 5 year old students will experience the FUN-damentals of creative dramatics! Sessions will include (but are not limited to) games, listening to/acting out stories and poems, and creative movement to music. This is a process-oriented class rather than a product-centered one. The goal of the course is to have fun while developing and exercising imaginations. Following directions, listening, concentration, and working together are all reinforced as we gather at the Imagination Station!

Ms. Penne Duke excitedly returns to ArtsView to teach another class for 4 & 5 year olds! She previously taught “Shake, Rattle, & Roll,” a music & movement class in the early days of ArtsView. Her elementary school teaching career spanned 22 years, beginning in Jefferson and ending in Longview. She retired in 2008 right after her first grandson was born, and was blessed to be able to keep him while his parents worked. However, “Once a teacher, always a teacher,” so Ms. Penne currently works part-time at the First Baptist Church’s Wee Learn Center as the Music Etc. teacher and continues her successful Mary Kay business teaching women how to enrich their lives.
