In honor of Sandy, Annie’s lovable dog and a star in our production, ArtsView Children’s Theatre hopes to make a difference for dogs and dog lovers in East Texas. Throughout the production and performances of ANNIE, ArtsView is collecting dry dog food for Texas Star Rescue. Donations of new, unopened bags of dry dog food are now being accepted at ArtsView Children’s Theatre, 313 West Tyler, Longview; office hours are M-F, 9AM-1PM. Donations will also be accepted at each performance of ANNIE. Performances are November 15th-17th at 7:00pm; November 17th & 18th at 2:00pm at Longview Community Center, 500 East Whaley Street, in downtown Longview. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
Texas Star Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care and adoption of endangered dogs from high-kill shelters. Their goal is to offer care and a peaceful living environment for these dogs until they are rehomed. They fully vet, spay/neuter, microchip and rehabilitate the rescued dogs. Adoption events are held every Saturday from 10-2. People interested in adopting or donating to Texas Star can also visit their main kennel during the week.
