Tuition fee assistance is available to those in need.

Fee Assistance applies to camp and classes $60 and up, and is 50% of cost listed.

Please download and complete the student packet prior to participation in your first ArtsView event in 2018 and bring with you on your first day.

***All PATHS events now require a non-refundable fee of $10 for one-day workshops; $25 for classes and mini-camps; $50 for camps. Masters Series classes are non-refundable.

Behind the Scenes: Costuming 101:
Technical Mini Camp Workshop,
Ages 10-12
Tuition: $65

When most people think of the theatre, they think of the actors on the stage, and while our actors are a big part of a show, there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that allows the actors to shine. Come learn more about the role that COSTUMING plays in the theatre! Participants will learn the basics of costuming a character, practice pulling costume pieces, and even design their own costume!

Ready to learn the ins and outs of improvisation and perfect your technique? Come join us for a week of Masters Improv taught by ArtsView’s funniest people! In addition to learning key tools to hone your improv skills, we’ll also play numerous improv games to sharpen your mind and strengthen your public speaking, social, and team building skills.

Script Writing Class

We’re going on a mission, start the countdown..5, 4,3,2,1! Join us on an adventure through the world’s greatest music & art pieces. We will explore music and art by the greats such as Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, VanGogh, Warhol…just to name a few. We will be enjoying music, movement, playing instruments, creating art & music, creative dramatics activities and more!

Participants will enjoy many aspects of performing and storytelling in this fun mini camp. We will be taking a familiar children’s tale and adding our own twist to tell. Basic skills such as stage presence/movement, prop use, and character development will be taught during this week. A great mini camp for our ArtsView Stars to work on the next level of acting/performing. Come ACT UP with us!

Jack and the Beanstalk – The Musical by Roald Dahl:

Costumes, lights, props…and most importantly- an audience to enjoy the hard work. Campers will enjoy telling this classic story with witty music and a few comical twists. Come help us find some magic beans and that funny giant!

It’s our traveling outreach group once again! This season, teens will prepare a production of the award winning play from ArtsView’s playwright contest to take on the road and share with local schools, community groups, and childcare centers. This is a wonderful group to be a part of. Come join us and give to the community by sharing theatre with young audiences in the East Texas area! The Troupe will be traveling the week April 30-May 4.

Participants will enjoy telling the story of Aesop’s fable-the grasshopper and the ants in a fun, new twist!

Happily Ever After! Playwright Winner’s Showcase Camp:

Participants will enjoy the theatre production process at an age appropriate level in this two week camp. Everyone gets a part to play! Costumes, lights, props…and most importantly- an audience to enjoy the hard work. Basic acting skills will be worked on during this process-perfect for our older children to move to the next level in their performing. This performance will showcase two of the winning plays (younger aged categories) from our annual playwright contest.

How to Audition 3-day Extended Workshop
Ages 10-14

This extended workshop focuses on auditioning skills for musical auditions. Participants will learn what directors are looking for in auditions. We will explore the realities of casting a production and learn how to recognize the roles you are best suited for. Using age appropriate Broadway style songs, campers will develop strategies for putting their best work onstage to get the part. At the end of the camp, participants will have a clear understanding of what to expect from a musical audition and will gain experience to help them choose a song that best fits their vocal range.
