TECHNICAL COORDINATOR NEEDED
Job Description

Duties
  • Works with Director, Technical Designers and Production Manager to create the technical "vision" for the show.
  • Works with Production Manager and Technical Advisor to establish budget for the show. '
  • Works with Production Manager to make sure that technical "vision" - light design, set design, and sound design - is feasible and within budget.
  • Sees that technical elements are implemented from the planning, design, construction and creation stage up through the production, strike, and clean - up process
  • Instructs individual designers on available materials and resources at ArtsView
  • If individual designers are not available for the show, technical director acts as designer
  • Recruits, supervises and schedules technical crew/volunteers
  • Insures that crew/volunteers are familiar with ArtsView procedures and guidelines
  • Insures that deadlines as set forth in the rehearsal/production calendar are met.
  • Turns in weekly report of budget expenses to Production Manager - copies Tally Sheet Form
  • Purchases or acquires materials needed to construct set, and fulfill light or sound requirements
  • Helps maintain and organize lighting, set and sound equipment, as needed
  • Supervises/Mentors interns as needed and helps to identify goals to meet during production
  • Attends weekly Production Meetings during run of production
