Arts East Texas, a cultural venture between East Texas cities, brings one central resource to the fingertips of anyone seeking information concerning the availability of entertainment or cultural programs through a searchable Web site – www.ArtsEastTexas.com. The organization’s website has been made available with a valuable in kind donation of web design and technical support from the creative team at In-House Associates.

ArtsEastTexas.com has simplified the lives of active cultural consumers in the area. Visitors to the Web site can learn the times and dates of related activities in the east texas area. Public, private and home-school educators can also research arts offerings when planning curricula. Now, everyone has one online source and one calendar with links to member and partner organizations providing cultural and educational programming. And Texas state officials have taken notice.

“I believe Arts East Texas is a role model for other online arts collaborations statewide,” said Rick Hernandez, executive director of Texas Commission on the Arts. “It will revolutionize how arts providers in the region communicate, collaborate and plan, and it will create a climate for growth. We at Texas Commission on the Arts are proud of the progress of this collaboration, made possible in part by the TCA grant issued last year.”
