2013 PeeWee Players Show Choir – These lively 6-8 year-olds will be singing and dancing their way around the community throughout the summer season.
2013 Teen Theatre - American Idle: Murdering the Music & Colonial Village – A Holiday Retirement Community – All production cast and crew members will participate in an ArtsView Outreach volunteering their time and services to the Colonial Village Independent Retirement Community on May 19 from 2:30-5:00pm. We will be serving the residents and staff members by washing their cars.

2013 Encore Players Show Choir – The Encore Players, ages 13-18, performed during spring season for the ArtsView Board of Directors FUNDRIVE Kick-off as well as for AMBUCS, Colonial Village Retirement Community, ArtWalk, the 2nd Annual Patterson Nissan Firefly 5K benefitting Autism Awareness, Downtown Live, the Salvation Army Family Fun Run, Longview World of Wonder, Cinco de Mayo Children’s Day Celebration, Kids for Kids Concert in the Park, AlleyFest, and Longview Regional Hospital.
Spring 2013 - In keeping with the theme of HONK! Jr., ArtsView Children’s Theatre took dramatic and fine arts to ‘Terrific Tuesday’, an after-school program for at-risk children hosted by Wesley McCabe United Methodist Church. Most of the students involved in Terrific Tuesday attend South Ward Elementary School. ArtsView staff members traveled to Terrific Tuesday for four weeks, teaching and inspiring students with the message of “The Ugly Duckling.” The outreach culminated in the Terrific Tuesday participants attending a special preview of HONK! Jr. at ArtsView.
2012 Christmas Open House and Longview Fire Department Toy Drive -
In the spirit of Christmas and outreach to our community, ArtsView partnered with the Longview Fire Department Christmas Toy Drive. New, unopened, unwrapped children’s toys and games were collected at our offices and at our Christmas Open House on December 7th. The toys were distributed to local children as well as children from Longview who have been placed in foster homes in other areas.
2012 Bravo Players Show Choir – Youth, ages 9-12, entertained with music and dancing during the fall of 2012. Bravo Players performed at Historic Longview Farmer’s Market, Longview Regional Hospital Skilled Rehab Unit, Longview Community Ministries Touch-A-Truck Event, Texans Against Crime Old Fashioned Carnival, East Texas Down Syndrome Group Buddy Walk, Downtown Live Entertainment and Market, Multicultural Festival, Ladies Night Extravaganza, White Oak Rough Neck Days, and Colonial Village Senior Living. The 2012 Bravo Players were proudly sponsored by Dr. Margaret Schottstaedt.
ANNIE & Texas Star Rescue – Fall 2012 -Throughout the production and performances of ANNIE, ArtsView collected dry dog food for Texas Star Rescue, a local nonprofit that rescues and finds homes for dogs in our community. Donations were accepted during production and at each performance of ANNIE. Texas Star Rescue visited ArtsView with adoptable dogs dressed for Halloween. 2012 PeeWee Players Show Choir – This talented group of 6-8 year-olds entertained throughout the community during the summer of 2012. There were performances at the Longview Farmer’s Market, the Gladewater Library, Knowledge Nook, Colonial Village Retirement Center, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Jack Mann Splash Pad, Buckner Westminster Place and Charm Night Out. The 2012 PeeWee Players were proudly sponsored by Global Graphics.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Summer 2012 – ArtsView Children’s Theatre was proud to collaborate with the Longview Public Library throughout this summer production in promoting READING THE CLASSICS. Click here for details and to see a list of books which were collected.
In conjunction with the 2012 Teen Theatre production of Booby Trap, ArtsView partnered with TEXAS CARDS FOR TROOPS, an American Legion Auxiliary Program serving military families in heart, hand, and spirit. ArtsView collected greeting cards and other items which make a big difference in the lives of American soldiers.
2012 Encore Players Show Choir – During the spring of 2012, the Encore Players, ages 13-18, performed for the ArtsView Board of Directors as well as hosting a Karaoke for Kids Night at ArtsView. They will also performed in the community for Colonial Village Retirement Community, for the Lion’s Club Annual Barbeque, for the Retired Teachers’ Association, at the Longview Public Library, at the Longview Mall, and at the 2012 AlleyFest.
Winnie the Pooh – Spring 2012 - There’s a rumbly in some tumblies… During the summer of 2012, the cast and crew of Winnie the Pooh collected jars of honey and peanut butter for the food bank at Highway 80 Rescue Mission to help put “a little something” in some tummies!
