1. Live productions ACT is devoted to producing quality live theatre for families in the greater Longview area. Research shows that in the past 20 years, there has been a shift and emphasis toward children's theatre as a viable option for entertainment and education.
2. Theatre arts training and classes We are the only children's theatre in Longview to provide a comprehensive variety of performing art education and community partnership programs. ACT offers pre-professional training in acting, dance, singing and other theatre arts to youth during the summer drama camp. Enrollment is predicted to increase during our second year. A goal of our organization is to create a year-round opportunity for theatrical instruction in after-school programs. Scholarships are a wonderful way to support the children who have an economic need.
3. AND OUR NEW HOME Fortunately we have a new home at 313 W. Tyler Street in downtown Longview! But unfortunately, there are many things needed in order to transform it into a space for performances, classes, costumes and building sets.
